September 12 - November 21, 2020
A solo exhibition featuring sculpture by Knopp Ferro.
From the gallery:
“The Austrian artist Knopp Ferro has made a name for himself on the international stage with installation sculptures. These elaborate sculptures float above the viewer as an expansive network of metal rods, all very slender and of varying lengths. The linear nature of the work is invariably delicate, continuously oscillating and causing the very nature shift based on its own internal rotations and the perception of the viewer. They are installed on the ceiling or wall, or stand in the room, and are complemented by models, drawings, and sketches.
Knopp Ferro was born in Bensburg, Germany in 1953. Since 2006, Ferro has lived and worked in Inning, Germany, after graduating from the Academy of Art & Design in Cologne, Germany, and having a studio in New York, NY from 1992 to 1994. He is a part of many prominent international collections, including the Ella Fontanals-Cisneros Collection in Miami, Fl. Exhibition will be open Friday and Saturday 1-5pm and by appointment with all the health requirements from: September 12 – October 31, 2020”
