The first annual ArCH Film festival presents a featured film preceded by a collection of juried shorts by Rice and UH architecture students, not necessarily about architecture! Tonight it’s Architecture and activism in practice, Citizen Architect is the story of Samuel Mockbee and Auburn University’s Rural Studio. The documentary follows Mockbee’s vision in Hale County, Alabama. Commentary from architects, academics, locals, and students colors in this discussion of class, poverty, race, architecture, design, and education. $20 general admission, free for ArCH Members.
