The Stark Museum of Art in Orange was named the Outstanding Arts and Humanities Organization for 2011 by the Southeast Texas Arts Council on Monday. The Council cited the Museum’s outstanding collection and noted its new state-of-the-art lighting, unveiled last December at the end of a remodeling project that also stripped the fabric from the 70’s-era walls and replaced it with dramtically colored paint (no orange, though).
