We’re not your trained monkeys

You can lead an artist to subject matter but you can’t control what he does with it. According to New York Magazine, the head of Credit Suisse global proprietary trading, Robert Jain, commissioned twelve artists to "create works inspired by Wall Street terminology." This was before that whole global financial meltdown thing. Well, the artists are done now and their offerings include Hedge Fund, an underwater photograph of a drowning stockbroker, and a painting of a stock ticker displaying the phrase “We will allocate your payments and credits in a way that is most favorable to us.”
