Here we go, people: UTD’s Online Worlds Lab is hosting a virtual art show tonight starting at 9 pm. You have to sign up for Second Life (a free giant virtual world, or "metaverse"), create a character and show up at their gallery URL. Here’s a screen shot we just took of our character picking up a goody bag as we preview the show. On view? virtual works by Shoshana Episilon, who takes "photographs" of the avatars, or characters people make up for themselves.
