Inman @ Lawing

by Glasstire July 14, 2002

In a coup move, Houston’s Inman Gallery is temporarily inhabiting Lawing Gallery, perhaps the most beautiful gallery space in Texas, while the current Inman space gets bulldozed and rebuilt. Says Kerry Inman, “I needed temporary space and Doug wanted a break from the pressure of a regular exhibition schedule so he could focus more on private dealing.” The new Inman building (on her current site in the Museum District) will open fall of 2003. In the meantime, the last event in the current gallery space will be the TFAA 5×7 benefit this September, and Inman@Lawing (as the temporary space will be known) will have shows for Robert Ruello and Tommy Fitzpatrick later this fall.

What we really hope this doesn’t mean is an end to Lawing Gallery as we have known and loved it.
