“My Life and Life Around Me is a small body of works that Eddie Filer created from his interactions with family, friends and everyday strangers he comes in contact with. Filer’s narrative is meant to explore humanity’s existence as it unfolds, no matter the good or bad dichotomy hidden within the human experiences. Aesthetically, this idea inspires his compositions by the way his subjects express a smile or frown. This also holds true when observing his subject’s body language and mannerisms.”
