“An Interlined Gulf is the inaugural exhibition of closed–languages. Featuring new works by Terri Thornton and Travis LaMothe, An Interlined Gulf engages place and its opposites. Both artists use networks of resemblance and familiarity, only to circumscribe them, to point backwards.
LaMothe’s installation is at play with the gallery exterior lot, highlighting his interests in architectural supports and industrial design. Anchored by an image published in the New York Times, Thornton’s installation defines the gallery’s interior as place.”
Opening: September 1, 2018 | 6:30–8:30 pm
