Architects Sharon Johnston and Mark Lee will give a talk about their work. While maintaining a deep commitment to architecture history and the discipline’s ongoing discourse, Johnston Marklee draws upon an extensive network of collaborators in related fields to broaden their design research, which has a particular focus on the arts. Frequent visitors to Marfa, Johnston Marklee designed the Mound House for Robert and Rosario Halpern and restored a number of local houses for the Lannan Foundation’s residency program. One of their many current projects is The Menil Drawing Institute in Houston.
