April 13 - May 5, 2012
The Dallas Biennial’s inaugural event, DB12, will install a fictitious “Dick Higgins Gallery” at Oliver Francis Gallery’s space to house the bricks-and-mortar component of the online event, ongoing until April 2014. The physical installation features video stills by Sharon Ya’ari, and pieces by Artur Barrio, George Horner and Michael Vorfeld. A sound piece by French artist Guillaume Leblon plays a recording of church bells chiming 4pm every hour of every day for the entire exhibition. Dallas’ artist Stephen Lapthisophon will install “Offal,” a piece “about states of interiority and subjectivity”.
