June 7 - 8, 2014
Altar is an ongoing series pairing a visual artist and a performance-based artist. This iteration sees musicians Cole Bee Wilson and Cody J. Wilson creating a sonically interactive light sculpture based on “the ancient Carthaginian General Hannibal Barca and his role in the second Punic War. Hephaestus will be working overtime.”
The mysterious Museum of Human Achievement bills itself as a multi-disciplinary arts space (“Think less nightclub, more cult”). They mostly do music acts. They don’t list their location or anyone involved with the project, although they’re funded by the City of Austin (you can figure out where they’re located by purchasing tickets to one of these performances). Don’t know about you, but golly, we’re intrigued by their indifference!
