Paul Strand made two trips to Mexico during 1932 to 1934 during which he captured images of the country during a time of profound change. This show includes 20 photogravure images that embody the three themes present throughout his published Mexican photography: portraits of people, religious folk sculpture, and landscapes.
Aperture, a not-for-profit organization devoted to photography and the visual arts, has organized this traveling exhibition.
