by Bill Davenport December 12, 2010

The Texas Film Commission has reneged on promises to pay $1.75 million in production incentives to the producers of "Machete" a B-movie shooter starring Robert DeNiro, because of a “content that portrays Texas or Texans in a negative fashion.” The film portrays a violently anti-immigration senator, and a Mexican Federal Police Officer who eventually gets legal residency in the US after a confrontation with border vigilantes.
