Portable Trojan Bear, sculptor Jim Love’s first public commission, has been returned to Hermann Park in Houston, to its apt spot between the miniature railroad and the Houston Zoo. The iconic sculpture was removed in November 2008 for conservation. Installed in 1974 at the corner of Montrose and Bissonnet, the piece was moved to Hermann Park in 1984.
