“The traveling exhibit No Man’s Land: East Texas African Americans in WWI was created under the direction of Dr. Lila Rakoczy, Military Sites Program Coordinator for the Texas Historical Commission, and was done in collaboration with the East Texas Historical Commission, the Texas WWI Centennial Commission and others. The exhibit aims to raise awareness of the experiences of African American soldiers, and civilians from East Texas during the war.”
