we are creatures obsessed with objects, with tools; and yet, to have a thing is to inevitably discard it. when a thing breaks, ages, becomes obsolete, meaningless, we throw it away; it becomes trash. yet, nothing truly dissipates. this show hopes to focus on what it means to discard things, what stories trash can hold, how humanity can come to terms with the massive bulk of our waste, and where the line between use and useless is.
