Open call for Austin and San Antonio artists October 1- 28
$10 fee for 5 images. All media welcome.
All artists over 18 years of age, living within 80 miles from the capitol are eligible (Temple, Austin, San Antonio and everywhere in between). Submission form will be available Oct 1-28 at http://eyesgotit.wordpress.com/eyes-got-it-2012/
Eyes Got It! 2012 is an open call art competition inspired by American Idol and other arts based, reality-TV game shows.
In contrast to traditional juried call for entries, the panel of local arts professionals will conduct their review process in front of a public audience and after 3 rounds of elimination will award one artist a solo exhibition at grayDUCK Gallery in 2013.
Panel of judges includes:

Program Director, Women and Their Work
•CRUZ ORTIZ
Artist, Founder of Dignowity Hill Pushcart Derby
ROUND 1: AmericanIdol-style Yes/No voting. Each judge gets a vote.
ROUND 2: Judges will critique Top 10 semi-finalists and eliminate 6.
ROUND 3: Judges Q&A the final 4 artists in a "studio visit." Judges deliberate and choose one winner.
(Finalists must be present for Round 3)
Review of artist submissions and selection of winner will occur publicly on Friday, November 9th from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Blue Theatre.

Solo exhibition at grayDUCK Gallery TBA (2013).
