Graffiti Animation Workshop

Join Aurora Picture Show and Aerosol Warfare to create your own graffiti animation. Whether you have your own tag, creative images or just looking for something cool to learn about, this workshop will teach you about graffiti and video animation. We will supply the materials, technology, some snacks and talented teachers, including GONZO247! of Aerosal Warfare providing art instruction and Alex Luster of Shoot.Edit.Sleep providing digital instruction.

Sound Foley Workshop
A Popcorn Kids Event for Media Archeology

Ages 5 - Teen
In honor of the 9th annual Media Archeology Festival, Aurora Picture Show will host a sound foley workshop at IKEA Houston. Foley is the reproduction of everyday sound effects which are added in post production to enhance the quality of audio for films and television. Students will use products from IKEA to add foley sounds to Hollywood animations.

The Idea Fund, a re-granting program administered through Aurora Picture Show, DiverseWorks ArtSpace and Project Row Houses, and funded by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, is proud to announce its fourth round of granting opportunities. The fund provides cash awards of $4,000 to ten Texas-based, artist-generated or artist-centered projects that exemplify the unconventional, interventionist, conceptual, entrepreneurial, participatory, or guerrilla artistic practices that occur outside of the traditional frameworks of support.
