From Bihl Haus Arts:
“Bihl Haus Arts presents “Landscape in Flux,” an exhibition of 10 new, large scale drawings by artist Stacy Berlfein that highlight some of the world’s most magnificent glaciers. It opens with a reception from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Aprill 11 at the Bihl Haus gallery, 2803 Fredericksburg Road inside the Sorento Apartments. The exhibition runs through May 3.
Berlfein explained that the idea for “Landscape in Flux” came about to call attention to the premature melting of glaciers around the world because of climate change. “I also want to acknowledge the beauty of that landscape because it hasn’t been traditionally represented in art,” she said. “I’m hoping people will come to have an appreciation for the beauty of glaciers.
Each glacier depicted in the artist’s drawings will have a name and location, Berlfein added.
