“The Huntington Sculpture Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was created to promote and preserve the work of living artist Jim Huntington. The foundation is based in downtown Coupland, Texas and features his working studio and sculpture garden. The sculpture garden is open to the public 365 days a year. There is no admission fee, but tax-deductible donations in any amount are gratefully accepted.
Born in 1941 in Elkhart, Indiana, Jim Huntington attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and El Camino College in El Camino, California. He has lived in Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, and New York City. He taught at Hunter College and The Cooper Union in New York City as well as Princeton University and the San Francisco Art Institute. Huntington was represented by David McKee Gallery in New York City for many years. His work is part of prominent public collections including Storm King Art Center in Mountainville, NY, Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ, and Kansai Gaidai University in Osaka, Japan, as well as many private collections.”
