From Dallas College:
“The Gallery Program of the School of CAED (Creative Arts, Entertainment, and Design) at Dallas College presents “Downtown”, a group exhibition featuring work by faculty and staff from the Visual Arts program at the El Centro Campus. This exhibition brings together the artistic voices of seven artist, all of whom are practicing artists, working across a variety of media, including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, metalwork, and printmaking. Hosted at the H. Paxton Moore Fine Art Gallery (B120), “Downtown” highlights the creative contributions of these dedicated educators who not only teach but also actively engage in their artistic practices.
These faculty members serve as mentors, bridging the gap between academic learning and real world practice while offering guidance on technique, conceptual development, and professional opportunities. At the same time, the exhibition fosters inspiration, allowing students to see their instructors not just as educators but as active participants in the contemporary art scene.”
