“The Watercolor Art Society – Houston (WAS-H) is excited to announce the 48th Annual International Watermedia Exhibition (IWE), set to take place from March 4, 2025, through March 29, 2025. This prestigious annual event will showcase the finest contemporary watermedia art from around the world, providing a platform for artists to display their new works and for art enthusiasts to experience the beauty and innovation of watermedia. Whether you prefer the soft, luminous effects of watercolor or the bold, vibrant layers of acrylic, the IWE is a must-see art event in Houston.
The exhibition will be held at the WAS-H Gallery, located at 1601 West Alabama, Houston, TX, in the heart of the museum district. The works on display represent some of the world’s most recognizable current watermedia artists and visitors will have the opportunity to view and purchase original artwork.
Highlights of the 48th Annual International Watermedia Exhibition include:
- Juror and Judge: Esteemed artist and design professor Stephen Zhang, recognized for his large-scale, expressive watermedia paintings

Gallery Hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 10 AM – 3 PM and, during the month of March, WAS-H will also be open on Sundays from 10 AM – 3 PM for this special exhibition. The WAS-H Gallery is located at 1601 West Alabama, Houston, TX 77006.
