From Paggi House:
“Susan Scafati’s “A Flower” will transform Paggi House’s glass-enclosed courtyard with her signature large-scale installations. Known for her vibrant use of plexiglass and light-refractive materials, Scafati’s new work is inspired by the peacock flower, found in nearby gardens. This exhibit will showcase a dynamic interplay of photography, paintings using dyes made from the peacock flower, and translucent sculptures that interact with natural light to cast captivating colors and shadows.
In contrast, Stephanie Duprie Routh’s “Daydream in Memories of Youth” will be displayed in the study and parlor rooms, offering a multimedia exploration of sensuality, beauty, and aging. Routh’s installation includes photographs and videos of women from her travels, accompanied by poetry from Dalya Sachs and a unique scent designed by olfactory artist Lula Curioca. Her work has been recognized in publications like National Geographic Traveler and holds a place in several prominent collections.”
