From the Glassell School of Art:
“Ken Mazzu: Points of Interest is the first exhibition in a series celebrating the Junior School faculty at the Glassell School of Art.
“As a Texas artist painting in Houston since 1994, my investigations in painting have recently evolved from that of an urban influence into a newfound focus on the natural world. In fact, a consistent part of my outdoor experience has continually encircled the Texas Chenier Plain. Within this region, I have long been inspired by the coastal marshes, inland waterways, timeless beaches, and coastal prairies that encompass the Upper Texas Gulf Coast.” —Ken Mazzu
