“We are thrilled to announce Akim Monet Fine Arts’ new gallery in the Dallas Design district with the inaugural exhibition, Objects of Desire. Please join us for a cocktail reception on August 24th from 5-8pm.
Objects of Desire unites work by both modern and contemporary artists with ancient sculpture to question our collective understanding of desire and the many forms it takes. Featured artists include: Lita Albuquerque (b. 1946), Francis Apesteguy (1952-2022), Mélanie Clemmons (b. 1987), James “Yaya” Hough (b. 1974), Majida Khattari (b. 1966), Akim Monet (b. 1968), Tahmineh Monzavi (b. 1988), Nadya Tolokonnikova (b. 1989), Joseph Beuys (1921-1986), George Grosz (1893-1959), Man Ray (1890-1976), and Auguste Rodin (1840-1917).

Akim Monet Fine Arts brings to Dallas its 35 years of of experience, professionalism, and connoisseurship. Akim Monet’s prior public space, Side by Side Gallery Akim Monet GmbH, was active in Berlin from 2011 to 2018, mounting world class exhibitions and building a network of artists, estates, collectors, and museums. After spending five years working as a private dealer in Los Angeles and Dallas, where the Monet family relocated in 2021, Akim is excited to once again welcome the arts community in a physical space to present changing exhibitions open to the public.”
