“500x is proud to announce our selected artists for College Expo 2023. The annual exhibition showcasing work from visual artists enrolled in higher learning institutions across Texas. This year’s addition is juried by Julie Liebersat , intermediate artist and art educator at TWU.
The exhibition will be held from April 1st to April 16th 2023 with opening reception on Saturday April 1st 7 -10pm.
The jurors choice award will be announced during the opening reception. A cash prize of $150 will be given, along with a solo exhibition in our project space for the 2023 -2024 season.
The gallery is open on Saturday and Sunday from 12 – 5 pm with no appointment required.

About the juror:
Julie Libersat is an intermedia artist and art educator whose work explores architecture, technology, and navigation. Born in Kerala, India and raised in Philadelphia PA, Libersat received her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2003. After living in India for eight years, Libersat returned to the United States and received an MFA in New Media in 2016 as well as a Masters in Art Education from the University of North Texas. Libersat has exhibited in the US and abroad including shows at the Dallas Contemporary Museum, School 33 in Baltimore, The Center for Art and Culture in Aix-en-Provence, France, Currents International New Media Festival, Paseo Taos and Museo de la Cuidad de Mexico. She has received fudnig from the National Endowment for Humanities, the Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Grant, the Onstead Masters Fellowship, the 2014 CADD FUNd grant and the Velma and Davis Dozier Travel Grant from the Dallas Museum of Art. Her work has been reviewed in The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, and Sculpture Magazine online. Libersat is an assistant professor of art and design at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX.“
