JUBILEE: An Anniversary Exhibition

Musical Bridges Around the World is pleased to open its 25th Anniversary Season with JUBILEE: An Anniversary Exhibition, featuring over 30 visual artists who have exhibited their work in the Art Gallery and at other MBAW venues over the years. The exhibition will open at the MBAW Art Gallery with an artist reception from 5p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, 20 August 2022. This event is free and open to the public, with food, drink, and music outdoors during the reception. The exhibition will remain on view through 17 December 2022.

Even before the Art Gallery at Musical Bridges made its public premiere in May 2013, visual artists were a vital part of the organization’s vision. Founding director Anya Grokhovski – an avid art collector and advocate – recruited visual artists as board members, supporters, and donors since the earliest days of MBAW programming. Inviting artists to exhibit in the lobby of performance venues, at fundraisers and other events, the visual arts have been part of our mission from the outset. JUBILEE celebrates these artists and their contributions over the years, offering a survey of the work that has graced our walls and the direction these artists have taken since.
