From Common Space:
“COMMON SPACE is proud to present its inaugural Window Space exhibition, Descendant Offerings, sumptuous abstractions by Juliette M.M. Nickle, constructed of weathered bits of books, dyed sumi ink pages, left behind paper scrawlings, and other scrap.
Juliette M.M. Nickle is a collage artist following in the footsteps of her grandfather collage artist Robert Nickle. Juliette was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Juliette found herself inspired by the 1800s brick architecture, junk yard rust, street castoffs, and tattered books of the industrial Midwest. Juliette has been a resident of Austin for 13 years, the majority of that time spent creating artwork, volunteering, current art major at Austin Community College and intern at ICOSA.
Common space is a creative co-working space in Bartlett, TX. Located 1-hour NE from Austin, TX. Common Space provides studio space, exhibition opportunities and comradery to its member artists, while working in tandem with the community at large to support the arts in rural Texas.
