From Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts:
“For one week only, Apr 16-25 the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts is spotlighting the work of three pioneering interdisciplinary artists in residence at the Mitchell Center by showcasing their work in a series of events that will engage with the community through a combination of FREE virtual and in-person tours, pop-ups, workshops and artist talks, with an exhibition at the Blaffer Art Museum. The spotlight features new and existing work from Brandon Balengée, Marisa Morán Jahn and Shaun Leonardo, who are this year’s artists in residence.
About the artists in residence program at the Mitchell Center:
Our artist in residence program gives creatives the opportunity to live and work outside of their typical environments, explore new locations, different cultures and experiment with different materials. We believe the projects our artists in residence have produced will have a lasting impact on the UH campus, local community, and city of Houston.”
