February 6 - March 19, 2020
DOUBLE RAINBOW, an upcoming joint exhibition of paintings by artists Sarah Ferguson and Mallory Page opening February 6, 2020. Together the artists are focusing on the concept of the rainbow, providing an immersive experience shared by all. Ferguson and Page decided to approach the exhibition as an installation; boldly juxtaposing their distinct styles, yet uniting them through color.
Ferguson is an admirer of the Light and Space art movement, Minimalism, Hard-edge painting and Geometric abstraction. She aims to evoke introspection through her paintings. Her work is held in both private and corporate collections across the United States.
Page had her first museum exhibition at the Longview Museum of Fine Arts in 2017. Page specializes in large-scale, thinly-layered monochromatic paintings. With each of her compositions focusing on a singular hue, Page’s work is a sophisticated study in perception, exploring how measured changes in color and light can affect shifts in visual understanding. Her work is held in private and corporate collections internationally and has been featured in Architectural Digest, Southern Living, and House Beautiful to name a few.
The artists are available for in-person interviews February 6 or via phone/email anytime leading up to the opening or after. Dimmitt Contemporary Art is of course always available for interviews or to answer any questions.
