April 10 - June 28, 2025
From the Michelson Museum of Art:
“The Michelson Museum of Art proudly presents Art on the Edge, a dual exhibition featuring the bold and innovative works of contemporary artists Latosha Keagy and Dylan Statler. This dynamic showcase, which opened on April 10, 2025, celebrates the power of contemporary art to inspire—especially among young audiences—by challenging creative norms and embracing personal storytelling. Through two distinct artistic perspectives, Art on the Edge explores the intersection of design, culture, and self-expression, pushing the boundaries of modern creativity.
A Successful Opening Reception
The museum welcomed guests from across the region at a well-attended opening reception held on April 10. A live DJ and open art studio added to the energy, and a highlight of the night was watching Dylan Statler paint live—giving visitors a chance to see the artistic process in action.
The Transformative Power of Contemporary Art
Contemporary art is more than just visual expression—it is a catalyst for inspiration, critical thinking, and cultural dialogue. Young audiences, in particular, can find a voice, a passion, and even a career path through exposure to modern creative movements. Art on the Edge embodies this mission by featuring artists whose work challenges norms, sparks the imagination, and invites audiences to see the world through a fresh lens.
