April 12 - 13, 2025
From Easyside:
“Easyside presents LONDON FIX, an exhibition featuring video and object-based artworks from local, national, and international artists. The exhibition will be on view April 12-13th at Proxy Property’s East Dock location, coinciding with the Dallas Art Fair.
Hosted in a warehouse currently under renovation, LONDON FIX takes this liminal moment in the site’s evolution to highlight experimental presentations of art. The materials, processes, and spatial interventions of these works resist categorization and prioritize impermanence. They collectively reflect the social, political and art historical significations present in commercial and institutional art circles, offering alternative entry points to recurrent issues; such as gender, power, and commodity.
At times ironic, sultry, precarious, and exuberant, the works in LONDON FIX promote methods in artmaking that are often peripheral to commercial platforms. As in all of our curatorial efforts, we hope this exhibition will harmonize and diversify the artists, artworks, spaces, and viewership engaged in our North Texas home.
About the space:
East Dock is currently being restored by Proxy Properties, a real estate group focused on preserving historic buildings and creating projects that positively impact the community. Originally built in 1915 as an ice house, the property later served as a book manufacturer and an airplane parts manufacturer. Soon, it will be home to 12-15 businesses and organizations, ranging from restaurants and retail shops to a jiu-jitsu gym and office spaces. Businesses will begin operating at East Dock as early as May, with retail concepts set to open in early 2026.
About Easyside:
Easyside is an artist-run non-profit organization seeking alternative methods of creation and care for artists and neighbors on the East side of Fort Worth. We provide studio and workspace to nine local artists, host a produce pantry every other Sunday, and contribute to educational and community events.”
