The Contamination of Meanings is a solo exhibition featuring the mixed media paintings of the Filipina Houston-based artist, Leslie Cruz.

This thought-provoking series invites you to shed your personality at the door and slip into the multiple personas that Cruz channels through acrylic paint and an irresistible array of supplementary mediums. Inspired by her affinity for cinema, photography, and interior design, Cruz’s series seamlessly incorporates surprising materials into her large-scale figurative paintings. Glitter, yarn, paper, and trim all obscure or adorn at different turns, granting her portraits endless variety. ”
