“Join us for a special conversation and demonstration between artist Arely Morales and Executive Director and Master Printer Richie Peña from Familia Printshop. Moderated by Talley Dunn, Morales and Peña will discuss the artist’s recent collaboration with Familia Printshop, exploring the ways in which the artist’s vision as a painter translated to the highly specialized format of creating etchings. Morales will unveil her two most recent etchings with the workshop, and Peña will explain the ways in which the collaboration evolved. From copper plates to trial proofs, Morales and Peña will walk visitors through the creative process of printmaking.”
