“An ominously darkened horizon or a delicate flower are two subjects I gravitate to most in my art because both harbor such profound aspects of existence. Standing beneath dark skies invokes thoughts about how the enormity of a storm can illuminate the depth of our insignificance. Looking at the beauty in flowers elicits reflections on hope and renewal, the unspoken promise of peace and forgiveness. In both, it reminds me of the fleeting beauty of life’s transience, forcing me to be still and know there is something bigger than me that exists with a hope of mercy and a certainty of grace. It is such a reflection that I wish to impart to you, the viewer, urging you to find hope and grace in both the storms of life and the moments of fleeting beauty.”
