Moon of a Moon

“Jonathan Hopson is proud to present Moon of a Moon, a group exhibition organized by Virginia Lee Montgomery, which brings together a celestial collection of moon-themed works in honor of the Autumnal Equinox (and this year’s Harvest Moon on September 29th) in “Space City” itself, Houston, Texas.

Moon of a Moon (also known a submoon, or a schmoon) is a subsatellite, or an astrological phenomenon whereby planetary moons may themselves have moons that they orbit with together.

I love thinking about moons as community entities that orbit with and alongside other moons. 🙂
