From Martha’s Contemporary:
“Detroit-based Brach Tiller’s paintings are a reflection of his lived experience in Detroit over the past year. Tiller imagines the works existing in real space as an alternative version of his reality that exists at the same time somewhere else, in a Rick and Morty multiverse way-a reflection of sorts. The work is an expression of Tiller’s romantic relationship with his partner Sam and the city of Detroit. Both relationships are complicated and constantly flowing. That loops back into Tiller’s main philosophy of nothing is black and white and everything is complicated and nuanced. “
