From the organizers:
“BYOB is back! Aurora Picture Show and The Menil Collection co-present this lively evening of outdoor, community-sourced projections covering the museum’s façade. Originally inspired by artist Rafaël Rozendaal’s Berlin events and the spread of global projection parties, Houston’s free-admission, outdoor projection festival has become a tradition for participants and picnicking audiences alike. All are invited to contribute their own video, film, overhead projector, or slide imagery to the experience. In order to participate, you must first register for a space and time slot in advance via the sign-up form: https://forms.gle/fFDanVxUPsoTPkwJ7
BYOB will take place on the front lawn of the Menil Collection’s main building at 1533 Sul Ross Street, between Mandell and Mulberry Streets. Please bring your own blankets or lawn chairs; seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. All guests are required to abide by the Menil Collection’s COVID-19 safety protocols by maintaining social distance (at least 6 feet between each household) and wearing a face mask that covers your nose and mouth unless eating or drinking. All other Menil green space policies apply. More information on the Menil’s policies, accessibility, and parking here:
