Tudor Mitroi was born and raised in Bucharest, Romania. He earned a Diploma de Licenta (M.A.) at the Universitatea de Arte in Bucharest, and an MFA at the University of North Texas. Informed by the cultural heritage of his native country, and the European and American artistic experiences, his work explores personal geographies and the fluid meanings of time and place. Mitroi’s art has been featured in New American Paintings and in various venues such as Dallas Visual Art Center, Artspace 111 in Fort Worth, Rudolph Blume Fine Arts/Artscan Gallery, Houston Arts Alliance, Slag Gallery in Brooklyn, NY, etc. Tudor Mitroi lives and works in Houston. He is a member of BOX13 ArtSpace and teaches painting and drawing at Sam Houston State University.

Outstanding work. There is an incredible level of detail in the lines of these works. Houston has many underappreciated artists; Tudor is at the top of that list.
No doubt about it Tudor is an outstanding artist and deserves the best.
