September 7 - October 5, 2019
A group exhibition, “featuring works by Karen Gunderson, Frank Mujica, Nic Nicosia, and René Treviño.”
“Wonder for the sky has been ever-prevalent in human history. When ancient philosophers first started contemplating our place in this universe, they looked to the clouds for answers. The celestial motif has been interpreted over and over by various cultures, mythologies, and religions — portrayed in an assortment of roles as subject, habitat, storyteller, authority. Artists, too, have sought to capture its ethereal essence since the origin of the landscape. Whether a sunny day, a starry night, or a wondrous sunrise, the dreamy entity of the cosmos is a marvel that captivates and drives the desire to create.”
