Maria Cortes is the winner of this year’s Edith Baker Art Scholarship, sponsored by the Dallas Art Dealers Association. The young Dallas artist will scoop up $3500 at an awards ceremony on June 1 at Booker T. Washington High school. She will also get an exhibition of her work at the Norwood Flynn Gallery during DADA’s Spring Gallery Walk on April 18 and opportunities to choose a mentor-for-a-day and to pursue a summer internship with a DADA member.
