John de Menil, a grandson of John and Dominique de Menil, will host an informal video salon about the documentary film Max Ernst Hanging
(shot by Francois de Menil in 1973 and edited by John de Menil in
2008), with respect to its varied perspectives on art and cinema
verité. This video salon is presented in conjunction with the
exhibition, "Max Ernst in the Garden of Nymph Ancolie" on view at The Menil Collection October 31, 2008-February 15, 2009.
