April 5 - May 4, 2025
From Link & Pin Gallery:
“Best known as The Grackle Lady for her oversized paintings of Austin’s favorite bird, Carly Weaver is exhibiting new paintings, drawings and sculptures celebrating personal memories, nostalgia, loss and rebirth and NOT grackles. On view at Past Things are 5 foot panels of intricate graphite and color pencil drawings, diary entries and interactive piece where viewers are encouraged to share their favorite album on a cassette tape panel. Sculptures explore more on the theme of nostalgia by plaster cast treasures encased in large bell jars. This is a culmination of one year’s work and an exceptional opportunity to discover The Grackle Lady’s other talents! Come celebrate over 600 hours of drawing with Carly and friends!
