September 19 - October 11, 2024
From Bolm Arts Gallery:
“The Bolm Arts Gallery in the East Austin Arts District is pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition, THE ART OF MUSIC, on September 19, 2024, from 6 PM to 9 PM, as part of the Third Thursday Art Evening series. Curated by Nicole Josephine Kline, a member of the Bolm Arts Collective, this exhibition commemorates the talents of local Austin artists and musicians.
This exhibition will explore the intersection of visual art and live music, featuring a diverse array of artworks, including sculptures, album cover art, and videography. The gallery will showcase pieces from visual artists Autumn Mae and Louis Eastman, alongside album cover designs by local musicians such as John Wesley Coleman and Andrew Cashen, each reflecting the rich music culture of Austin.
The exhibition will also include projections of music videos by local directors Olivia Maaghul and Dé, and musical artists Being Dead and We Don’t Ride Llamas. These displays will be shown on the exterior wall of the gallery, complemented by special live performances throughout the evening. An open bar, sponsored by the Bad Lucky Poetry Collective, will be available for guests.
THE ART OF MUSIC aims to celebrate Austin’s reputation as the Live Music Capital of the World and to highlight the deep connections between art and music in the community. Further details about raffles, poetry slams, and additional events will be announced soon.
We invite the public to join us for this engaging celebration of creativity and culture.”
