“Just Resting Your Eyes is a site-specific exhibition exploring love, memory, and dreams across three generations. Angela Guerra Walley’s multidisciplinary works are inspired by her family folklore and examine societal expectations of women, particular after marriage. The title references a phrase Guerra Walley’s father used throughout her childhood and makes a connection between the many moments we all close our eyes – to daydream, embrace, kiss, weep, sleep, dream, and die. cactusBARN is an independent artist run exhibition space that is located in the King William neighborhood. Established by Leigh Anne Lester and Jayne Lawrence in 2023.
