“Organized by the Tyler Museum of Art, this exhibition focuses on works by noted Texas artist Melissa W. Miller highlighting observations surrounding environmental events, portraying both natural occurrences as well as those that are a result of human interaction.”

In conjunction with Observations: Works by Melissa W. Miller, the artist will share about her process and career. In addition to offering insights about the work on view, Miller will discuss other pieces created over the years, providing an overview of her entire body of work.

Katherine Brimberry of Flatbed Center for Contemporary Printmaking will present Melissa Miller and her Flatbed Press Prints. Brimberry will share insider information about working with Miller on six different prints over the years, many currently included in Observations.

Texas artist and writer Margie Crisp will share about her recent publication Duck Walk: A Birder’s Improbable Path to Hunting as Conservation. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing following the presentation.
