From The University of Dallas:
“Beatrice M. Haggerty Gallery at The University of Dallas presents the exhibition: ARNY NADLER: SCULPTURES + WORKS ON PAPER
Arny Nadler: Sculptures + Works on Paper features ceramic sculptures and drawings from Nadler’s ongoing series, Firstlings. Nadler’s work explores ideas of wholeness, both in physical and psychological forms. In clay and ink, he contemplates the body’s precarity and its sometimes galling ability to adapt. These simultaneously heroic and absurd forms question our fixed notions of defeat and triumph. In the face of danger, desire, or even loss, theirs is a system that adjusts toward survival.
Arny Nadler is an associate professor at the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis (WashU). He earned a BFA from WashU and an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art. He is a recipient of grants and fellowships from the George Sugarman Foundation, the Regional Arts Commission, and the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at WashU. Nadler has works in the permanent collection of the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art and was included in the 24th No Dead Artists exhibition at Jonathan Ferrara Gallery in New Orleans. He has had recent solo exhibitions at the Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis, Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois and Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. He has been a visiting artist at several universities and colleges and is represented by Bruno David Gallery in St. Louis. https://www.arnynadler.com/”
