October 4 - January 5, 2025
From the organizers:
“In partnership with the West Texas A&M University Art Program, Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum is excited to announce the return of the Regional Art Faculty Show, a prestigious exhibition showcasing the artistic talents of faculty from colleges and universities throughout the region. After a brief hiatus, this year’s exhibition will be hosted by the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum (PPHM) and curated by PPHM’s Curator of Art, Deana Craighead. The show runs from October 4, 2024 to January 5, 2025, with an opening reception on October 4 at 6:00pm. In previous years, the WTAMU Art Program organized an invitational exhibition that highlighted the creative practices of regional art faculty. Reviving this cherished tradition, the upcoming show will feature contemporary artworks in various media, reflecting the dynamic artistic voices within our educational institutions. “This exhibition is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with the creative community and celebrate the talent of our region’s art educators,” said Deana Craighead, curator of art. “The collaboration with WTAMU & PPHM not only enhances the exhibition space but also elevates the prestige of the event.” Participating schools include: Amarillo College, Angelo State University, Eastern New Mexico University, Institute of American Indian Arts, Midwestern State University, New Mexico Highlands University, South Plains College, Texas Tech University, and West Texas A&M University.
