Missed Connections: Selections from North Lake’s Collection

“Dallas College Galleries is excited to present “Missed Connections: Selections from North Lake’s Art Collection” an exhibit of artwork that has been brought out of the woodwork for this special summer show. Dallas College is a collecting institution with a permanent collection of over one thousand works by national, regional, and student artists. Through paintings, photographs, prints, and sculptural works, the permanent collection is a snapshot of the rich history of the vibrant Dallas Art scene.

Since the North Lake Campus opened to the public in 1977, a myriad of faculty, students, and staff members have made their mark with many artworks that have gone into the Permanent Collection here. Some of these are familiar to our local community, but others though equally valued, reside in lesser known areas on campus. We hope that our employees, students, and community visitors will take this opportunity to connect with artwork they may not have known was in the collection.

The gallery team invites you to visit The North Lake Art Gallery from May 28th through July 3rd to see some of the wonderful work on North Lake’s campus!
