“2 Post Cinema is a free neighborhood outdoor “drive-in” cinema operating out of Northwest Houston and we are proud to present our inaugural open call screening: Tethered. The screening is a 45-minute compilation of videos from eight local, national and international artists: Alessia Cecchet, Ania Moussawel, Denisse Ariana Pérez, Leyla Rodriguez, Dafna Steinberg, Krista Steinke, André Ramos-Woodard, and Miranda Viskatis. The lineup brings together an assortment of intriguing videos and short films that run the gamut from humorous to serious and narrative to abstract. Weather permitting, the screening will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2023 promptly at 7:30pm in the parking lot at T.C. Jester Park (4219 T C Jester Blvd, Houston, TX 77018). Park your vehicle so that you face the screen across the street, tune in to 107.1 FM on your radio, and enjoy the screening! 2 Post Cinema was created by artists Britt Thomas and Prince Varughese Thomas to showcase contemporary film and video art created by underrepresented artists and filmmakers while bringing together the local community. It is funded in part by The Idea Fund and Houston Arts Alliance’s City Initiative Grant.
